The traditional weather of bright sunshine was again happily on parade for the 2010 St Inan's Fete. There was a marvellous turnout of decorated vehicles featuring many of the groups and organisations in the town. The parade, with the Royal Party in a horse and cart leading, left Beith Community Centre at 12.30 pm and paraded through the town.

On arrival at Beith Primary grounds, led by Neilston Pipe Band, the Queen was crowned by Beith Juniors Chairman, John Boal, a director of Malcolms of Paisley and everyone then enjoyed visiting the stalls. There was dancing, pipe band music and a parade of those in fancy dress.
All in all the day, definitely helped by the great weather, was another outstanding success. Specias thanks is due to the St Inan's Fete Committee; all those who provided lorries and transport for the float and to everyone for supporting a wonderful event. 2011 will be Beith Civic Week, but it is really difficult to see how the 2010 event can be bettered, but doubtless the committee will come up with some innovative ideas. Congratulations to everyone on a wonderful event for the town.
