Dining in Aberdeen – Delectably Different

Dining in Aberdeen – Delectably Different

The dining experience in Aberdeen is infused with the unique Scottish flavour, but there’s ample choice even if you want a more foreign taste. The environment and climate in Aberdeen are generally conducive for a late night or midday shopping spree or a lazy stroll to grab a bite. With the magnificent city itself as the backdrop, almost anything would seem appetizing, and sure enough the cafes and restaurants do their fair share of work to add vitality to the city.

For a quick snack while you sightsee, the Aberdeen Café is ideal as it serves homemade soups, fresh sandwiches, burgers and has a wide selection even for vegetarians. The best place for a soothing coffee or tea and some quiet gossip is the Cactus Creek Gourmet Coffee outlet. The chocolate and vanilla chais (tea) served at the coffee shop are a hit among guests.

If you want oriental cuisine head to the China Wok, Mt. Fuji Japanese Steak House, Peking Wok or Royal Thai Restaurant. All these places serve authentic eastern food and you can tuck into quite a feast. ‘Piccolo Restaurante’ serves pastas, lasagnas and delicious Italian food, made with freshly ground herbs and plenty of cheese.

The ‘Number One Restaurant’ as its name suggests is a front runner in serving Scottish food. Its award wining chefs and trendy restaurant themes are a perfect combination for a romantic night out. The Milton is probably one of the best fine dining restaurants in entire Scotland. Its plush interior, salubrious surroundings and cottage like exterior coupled with the delectable victuals make dining a delight.

Scotland is famous for its home brewed malt whiskeys which are a hot favourite among locals and tourists. Step into a pub or bar if you want to down the home grown drinks or any type of foreign liquor. There are many located around the city, usually close to theatres and cinemas.

Hotels in Aberdeen also offer quite a handsome spread to satisfy your hunger pangs. The Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen is particularly suitable to treat a business client or to celebrate a special family occasion. This Aberdeen hotel is well geared to cater to your boundless desires when it comes to food.
