Orr Park Annual BBQ

Our annual BBQ was held last night on 29th June in lovely conditions and was enjoyed by everyone, unfortunately several members couldn’t manage along due to various other commitments. We had approximately the same number of members present as last year with 22 members attending.

This year we went up-market with the food. James Blackwood our local butcher supplied the burgers which were Beef, and also Pork and Apple. We had the usual Sausages, also Chicken Gougons marinaded in both Lemon and Pepper dressing and Olive Oil and sweet balsamic vinegar dressing. There were BBQ’d fresh pineapple rings and various salad dishes to garnish, also of course the usual French bread, plus beverages. James very kindly also donated the star prize for our raffle which was a family sized steak pie, won by ever faithful member Harry Young.

A very big thanks to everyone who worked so hard and helped to make this another successful social event which we hope to repeat next year.

Anyone residing in the vicinity of Orr Park is welcome to join the group. Contact either Norrie on 01505 506194 or John on 01505 502852.

If anyone has concerns, suggestions or requires assistance, please again contact either of the above.

Our next meeting is on Tuesday 24th August in the Community Centre Lounge at 7.30.
